The development team at Captain Sim and the Publishers of JustFlight have done it again and this time they harnessed the skills of a Shuttle-trained Cosmonaut to develop a flight sim first. All six Shuttle orbiters are faithfully modelled and the systems and avionics are re-created to an extremely high level of detail. Software features a video `launch¿ to start the program and set the scene for the journey back to terra firma. Amazing animations include payload bay doors, SRMS (Shuttle Remote Manipulator System), drag chute, radiators and landing gear. Includes a voice package with 19 cues based on actual crew and Mission Control communications. This operates in real time according to the current flight situation. The package includes the radio aids that provide original Space Shuttle -19°/-17° steep OGS glide slope and shallow glide slope for runway 15 and 33 at the NASA Shuttle Landing Facility (X68) in Florida. Manual features a custom tutorial prepared by Just Flight to guide virtual astronauts back to Earth. Bonus version with limited features for Flight Simulator 2004 is included in the package.

If I didn't open the box I would have sent it back, but instead I wasted my hard earned money on garbage. This game is pointless as is anything from justflight.

After I installed it, it worked fine. But, the game itself is awful.

I bought this thinking it was going to be at least an ok game, but I was wrong. Waste of time and money, and the game made my computer run slow, and seem like it was going to freeze but it didn't.

Graphics are chopy at best, (and graphics are not a problem with my pc). Also, it only gives you 3 missions, and all 3 are boring and stupid.

I will NEVER buy from them again. So a word of advise DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

I am telling you now. The download that helps this problem that is on the website is does not work either. Do not buy this product. It does not install correctly and will not work. The support team for this product does not help either. Save your money for something else.

This sim has some great virtual cockpits. Also the FSX graphics at orbit were disappointing to me as well though that is no fault of this addon.If you really want to fly the Shuttle X-Plane is a much better choice and costs the same for a whole simulator. In the reentry mission you get to simply sit there and watch until atmospheric flight is possible.

After 2 emails with support I finally figured out the issue on my own. Although they provide a 1000+ page Shuttle Manual there is nothing for the sim addon itself. Unfortunately the install was a pain.

Their documentation is lacking. It will not install properly if FSX is not in the default install location. Even though it appears to find and install to the correct location it will not install one of the.dll's.As for the flight characteristics- I am disappointed.

The one reference I could find referred to to manuals/documentation that were not on the disc nor were they installed. Even better is the Orbiter Sim which was written by a PhD, has a large community, and is free.I don't recommend this product.

After installing this expansion not only did my computer crash(which is extremely rare with XP)but my desktop was damaged and now get an error message when I try to restore it. I tried re-installing the software with the same result. I will no longer trust anything from "Just Flight" again.
